Pax owns Dumas Radiator & Muffler Service, which keeps him pretty busy. But for the past 15 years, he’s been raising goats.

He started with Angora goats and when the hair market went south, he said, he switched to the meatier Boer goats.

“Most of the world drinks goat milk and many in the world eat goat meat, so there’s a demand for it all the time,” Pax said. “There’s a tremendous ethnic market, and it’s growing.”
