D'TOWN BBQ COOK OFF
Get ready for one of the most flavorful weekends of the year! The Annual Dumas/Moore County Chamber of Commerce D’Town BBQ Cook-Off fires up each year at McDade Park, bringing together 35–40 competitive BBQ teams from across the Texas Panhandle and beyond. This IBCA-sanctioned and State of Texas-recognized event is a must-attend for BBQ lovers and pitmasters alike.
Teams go head-to-head preparing mouthwatering entries in brisket, pork shoulder/butt, and chicken—with many also competing in the fan-favorite Cookers Choice category. It’s not just for the grown-ups—Friday night features the exciting Kids Q, where young grill masters get a chance to show off their skills and compete for prizes. (Entry fees apply for both adult and youth participants.)
The cook-off wraps up Saturday with cash prizes, trophies, and bragging rights awarded to the top teams. Whether you’re competing or just coming to soak in the smoke and enjoy the fun, the D’Town BBQ Cook-Off is a celebration of community, great food, and Texas-sized flavor.
